Newborn Photographer

As a newborn photographer  there are not many babies that I come across that just don’t sleep.  A few will fight it for a bit, but most sleep for at least half of their session.  Since we’ve been in Georgia, I’ve photographed around 15 babies…only one other one was as wide awake as this little guy.   My other wide awake babies session can be seen here.  This little guy was wide awake for the majority of his session…but he was so precious!  Just look at those bright eyes!   His parents were so over the moon in love with him.  One of my favorite things about being a newborn photographer is that I get to see the adoration in new parents eyes.  Most parents have been dreaming, guessing, and wondering what their new baby is going to look like from the moment they found out they were pregnant.  It doesn’t matter if it’s the first child, or the fourth, parents are always so much fun to watch with their brand new baby.

Planning for your session

Since it’s next to impossible to pin down what day your baby is actually going to come,  it’s best to schedule your session 2-3 months in advance.  Once the baby arrives, let me know, and then we will set up your session for sometime in the next 3 weeks.  Usually, on the earlier end is better, but I’ve had great success with older babies lately, and am not at all afraid to work with babies that are outside of the 5-14 day range!  As I’ve mentioned before, I have 4 children.  All 4 ended up being c-sections.  The first was not scheduled.  After that baby, my next 3 were scheduled c-sections, and only one of them actually came on her c-section date.  One came 2 days early, the other 5 weeks early…I totally get it that babies arrival dates cannot always be planned on.
