Acworth Family Photographer

As an Acworth Family Photographer, I come across some awfully cute kiddos.  There are several locations in the area that I love for pictures, but Cauble Park is one of my favorites.  One of the reasons I love this spot is there is a lot of variety there.  The entire park is on Lake Acworth, which in and of itself is really nice.  One side of the park is a long dock, and you can see the sandy entrance to the lake, and the other side of the park, is where we did this session.  It’s a little more wooded, still has a beautiful bridge, and lots of shade.   I have known these cuties mama for years…I’m talking like since I was in Jr. High school, and maybe even longer.  We went to church youth group together, and then crossed paths some in college as well.  Love her to death, which makes taking pictures of her babies even more fun.  Several years ago, when Katie (the youngest) was just a year, we did pictures in TN when my family was still living in Virginia.  Fast forward to 3 years ago when my family moved to GA…I remembered that she lived in the area AND had a babysitting age daughter.  Pace has been one of our favorite sitters for 3 years now!  All of my sessions are fun, but it’s so much more fun with I am hanging out with people I know!

Pace

I also got to do Pace’s senior pictures. You can see those here.  We did Pace’s senior pictures in downtown Dallas (Georgia, not Texas!) That is another one of my favorite areas for pictures.  That’s really a great spot for senior photos, or even families with older kids.  If kiddos are easily distracted or need to be able to run, something less busy would be a better fit.

Booking Your Session and Deciding on a Location

As I mentioned, I have a few different locations that I love in the area.  I have locations that have a more country feel, horses, and long driveways. There’s this location, Cauble Park, that has the wooded side, or the more beachy feel, and then there are locations like Marietta Square, and downtown Dallas.  I also love shooting at Cherokee Gardens near the Avenues of West Cobb.  All of these are great options.  It really just depends on what you’re looking for.  Once you decide a date, and we schedule your session, we can discuss location options.  I am also happy to help select outfits to give you the look you want for your session.

I like to do all of my  Acworth Family Photographer sessions either at the start of the day, or the end of it.  That is when the lighting is at it’s best.

Family sessions are about 45 minutes to an hour in length, and I do my best to keep them light and fun.  We move around a lot.  I talk to the kids, find out what they’re into, and try to make it feel like we’re just hanging out, and I happen to grab some pictures in the middle of it.  Please don’t stress out over your session.  When parents arrive stressed, the kids can sense it.  Parents that are stressed are quick to snap, and snapped at kids are quick to cry.  Just show up, and let me do the rest.  I enjoy it!
