Atlanta Maternity Photographer

How adorable are these soon to be parents for their Atlanta maternity photographer session? I love getting to capture maternity sessions.  It gives me a great chance to meet my clients prior to them walking into the studio with their brand new baby.  Picking the right newborn photographer can be so hard for parents. Doing the maternity session is a great chance to get to know the family a little bit first.

What to expect for your maternity session

Generally, for maternity sessions, I try to capture a good variety of mom and dad photos, just mom photos, belly photos, and if there are siblings, sibling and parent photos before everything changes.  This is such a sweet and special time for expecting families. I usually suggest doing maternity photos sometime between 27-34 weeks.  After 35 weeks is really pushing it to me as far as if the baby comes early, and let’s be honest..most moms aren’t looking or feeling their best once they are that pregnant!

What time and when to book

When I get to pick the time of day to do a session, my favorite time of day is sunset.  When small kids are involved, sometimes that just won’t work out. Sunrise and sunset are the prettiest times of day for sessions. If you have young kids who just can’t make it that late, we can obviously schedule your session for earlier.
