A sneak peek inside an Atlanta newborn photos session

Your session starts with feeding baby before you arrive. While we can certainly take a snack break during the session, this helps to ensure your newborn is nice and sleepy when you arrive.

You’ll notice the warmth of the studio when you get here. This is because newborns are used to the warmth of being inside your body. It’s also because they’ll spend some of the session without clothes or in just pants or a thin blanket. Don’t worry, if they seem to get too hot during the session, I will absolutely adjust the temperature.

Most newborn sessions last 2-3 hours. A fed and sleepy baby will usually mean a session closer to 2 hours. But some babies are a little fussier, need to be fed or changed more often. Some just want Mommy to hold them for a few minutes between setups – and all of that is absolutely fine! We’ll go at your little one’s pace.

If you want to include older siblings or some whole family photos, we’ll do those at the start of the session. This gives your newborn a little more time to settle down if they need it. It also allows Dad or someone else to take older kids to grab lunch or do something else while we finish up with the rest of the newborn photos.

What does a newborn photo session include?

Your Atlanta newborn photos session fee is for the time and talent, and the use of my prop selection. The reason for this is that parents all want different photos in different sizes and amounts. This allows you the flexibility to pick the photos you want, as well as also allowing you to choose where to have your photos printed. If you’re interested in booking more than just your newborn session, you can save 20% on your session fee and packages by booking multiple sessions at once.

The session will include the use of my many props: bowls, blankets, backdrops, headbands, beds, outfits and so much more. I really love props so there is a ton to choose from.

The day of the session, I’ll send a preview so that you’ll be able to see how well your newborn did. Approximately 2-3 weeks later all of your images will be edited and ready for you to view.

At that time, you’ll be able to decide which ones you want as well as which lab you want to use to print them. You can also order directly from me if you have specific ideas in mind.
