Being an Atlanta newborn baby photographer allows me to snuggle adorable babies like RJ. Doesn’t that sound like a dream job?

Can we take pictures with the baby?

I include parent shots with all of my Atlanta newborn baby photography sessions. Many parents say they’re too tired, don’t look good enough, etc. It is still recommended you do at least a couple of photos.

These are precious, fleeting days and I promise, no matter how you think you look, you’ll love having the memories captured to look back on. If you look at the photos and don’t like them, you don’t have to print them. But by taking them in the first place, you’ll at least have the option.

Can we include the rest of the kids in our Atlanta newborn baby photography session?

Babies are often beloved by older siblings. Well, at least until they start talking or walking. As babies grow and sibling spats begin, you’ll want photographic proof of a time when they cuddled and kissed on each other.

As an Atlanta newborn baby photographer, I encourage families to include siblings in newborn photo sessions. Generally, I like to start out with photos of the whole family. This allows Dad or Grandma to take the rest of the kids to get some lunch or play at a nearby park for the rest of the session.

Most newborn sessions are approximately 2-3 hours, so if you don’t have someone else to take the kids, I recommend bringing plenty of quiet toys, games and books so they can entertain themselves while we finish the session.

How did I get into photography?

I first picked up a DSLR camera about 12 years ago. I asked for it for my birthday and got it. My son Zaden was about 8 months old, and I felt like I was missing out on some great photos of him because the camera I had wasn’t quick enough.

I did lots of research online, joined a variety of websites, and taught myself as much as I could about how to use my camera and photography itself. Two years after I got my first camera, I got my second.

When I first started stepping into photography beyond photographing just my own family, I started with families and babies. It was only about 4 years ago that I finally started focusing on newborns, and now I absolutely love what I do!
