Marietta newborn photography allows me to have beautiful sessions like the one with Walt. This little guy was super sweet and so much fun to photograph.

I first met Walt’s aunt when she came to me with her beautiful newborn. She was so happy with her photos that she sent her sister, Walt’s mom, to me.

When should I schedule a Marietta newborn photography session?

Marietta newborn photography is best done in the first two weeks after birth. This is when newborns are most sleepy and flexible, allowing us plenty of time and patience to move, bend, and play dress-up without tears.

I can often get great photos out of newborns up to a month or so old, so if you feel like you’re coming a little late to the newborn photography game, that’s okay! Reach out and we’ll talk about what we can do.

If your precious little one arrives early, that’s not a problem, either. We can wait until they’re home, safe and sound, to do your newborn photography session. If you’ve already scheduled an appointment, just give me a call and we’ll work it out.

How long does a session last?

A Marietta newborn photography session is typically scheduled for about 2-3 hours. This allows us plenty of time to capture all the adorable poses, outfits and props that we want. It also leaves some wiggle room in case baby gets hungry, needs a diaper change or two, or simply cries for a snuggle break with Mommy.

I schedule most newborn sessions in the morning, and of course, can only schedule one per day. So it’s important that you book early to ensure you get a slot.

I’ve been trained in the safe posing and handling of newborns. When I move and pose your baby, you can be confident that your baby will be comfortable and secure at all times.

I have tons of adorable poses to put your baby in. If at any time you’re uncomfortable with how I’m posing your baby, you need only say the word. I’ll move on to the next pose.

I also like to capture some natural photos in addition to the posed ones. Your newborn already has his or her very own personality, and I love capturing that in your session.
